The Weinstein Learning Center’s Writing Studio supports students throughout their academic careers, from their First Year Seminars to their Senior Capstones and beyond. Writing Consultants provide learner-centered feedback on assignments across all majors, honing students’ critical thinking skills and providing strategies for revision. Consultants are available to work with students at all stages of writing and provide support through drop-in hours and appointments. Consultants

Writing Consultants are selected through a comprehensive application and interview process and receive ongoing training throughout their time in the role. As a part of this training, Consultants learn about best practices for conducting one-on-one sessions with students, strategies for offering learner-centered feedback, and writing center theory. Writing Consultants represent a wide range of majors and are prepared to provide writing support across all academic disciplines.
