Content Tutoring Appointments

The Weinstein Learning Center provides free, individual support for a wide range of courses. Individual tutoring appointments are available and can be scheduled with trained content tutors who can assist you in practicing content and help you increase your understanding of important concepts. Appointments are 60 minutes long and can be booked 24 hours to 30 days in advance. Please note that availability may fluctuate depending on the time of the semester. How to Prepare for Your Tutoring Appointment

Coming prepared for your tutoring appointment will maximize your time spend with your tutor. Bring your course materials—notes, textbooks, assignments, practice problems, and your syllabus—so your tutor can understand exactly what you’re working on. Think about a few specific questions, concepts, or assignments you’d like to focus on, but don’t worry if you’re unsure where to start. Your tutor is there to help you figure that out.

Remember, tutoring is a conversation, not a test. You can share what’s been challenging, talk through your thought process, and even make mistakes—it’s all part of learning. The more open you are about what you understand (and what you don’t yet), the more your peer tutor can tailor the session to your needs.
