Writing Appointments

Appointments are one hour long and can take place in person or via Zoom. They are booked 24 hours to 30 days in advance through the WLC Student Portal. Consultants meet with writers in INTC 104, across from Passport Café. Any University of Richmond student enrolled in credit-bearing courses can book an appointment. Students enrolled in courses that have embedded writing consultants will be connected to their consultant's schedule during the booking process.

When booking an appointment, please provide any drafts, assignment instructions, resources, or notes that will help your consultant to provide the best feedback possible. However, you don't need a completed draft to book an appointment. Consultants provide support at every stage of writing, including brainstorming.

Appointment availability may vary during busy periods, such as midterms and finals. Booking at least a week in advance during these times can help ensure availablity. Drop-in hours are also open to students throughout the academic year.

Appointment hours for the Fall 2025 semester are:

  • Mondays, 8:00p.m.–10:00p.m.
  • Thursdays, 6:00p.m.–8:00p.m.
  • Fridays, 2:00p.m.–4:00p.m.

*Embedded writing consultants maintain separate schedules. Indicate your course when booking to see available times.
