Appointments

Individual appointments are available throughout the academic year and are hosted by peer English Language and Culture Consultants and professional staff.

Appointments can cover variety of topics, such as:

  • English language learning (multilingual writing support, reading strategies, speaking tips)
  • Academic expectations (classroom discourse, professor-student expectations)
  • Intercultural learning (social communication, cultural adjustment, cross-cultural communications, social language)

You can book available times in the WLC Student Portal. Both in-person and virtual appointments are available and can be booked up to 12 hours in advance. All in-person appointments take place within the Weinstein Learning Center on the first floor of Boatwright Libray.

You are encouraged to book an appointment, but do not hesitate to stop by the WLC in Boatwright Library (1st floor) to see if an English Language and Culture Consultant is available to book Mondays–Thursdays from 2:00 pm–5:00 pm and 7:00 pm–9 pm.
