Draft Commentaries

Draft commentaries are a new type of service offered asynchronously by the Writing Studio. They are an excellent choice for students with busy schedules who have difficulty getting to the Writing Studio in person or meeting synchronously over Zoom.

Draft commentary time slots are one hour long and must be booked at least 12 hours in advance. When you book a draft commentary through the WLC Student Portal, you will upload your paper, and you will then receive feedback via email at the end of your time slot.

Please be as specific as possible when describing the feedback that you want in your sign-up form; this will allow Writing consultants to tailor their comments to your individual needs. You are also encouraged to break up lengthy papers into smaller chunks. While Consultants try to cover as much as they can during your scheduled time slot, a lengthy paper will require multiple sessions.
